Music

I wrote and recorded my first song at five years old– though I was definitely pushing the bounds of plagiarism with, "Rock and Roll on my Radio."  I would do just about anything to find that cassette tape, dusted with memories.

I've been a singer as long as I've been able to speak.  I've had the pleasure of learning from many amazing vocalists including Elisa Girlando, Julia Broderick and Alia Sheffield.  In 2018 I had the honor of attending a vocal workshop with Cyrille Aimee.  I began studying privately with Veronica Swift in 2023.

At 12 I started songwriting consistently as a way to:

  • Examine my inner and outer world

  • Express myself creatively

  • Explore my spirituality

  • Process challenging experiences

I played my first live show at The Stone Pony.  I was the trumpet player in a local ska band, Finding Wilson, following my friend, Brian Galli, departure for college.

I was the live sound engineer for all of the plays, musicals and talent shows during my time at Sparta High School. I continued practicing live sound as a host of open mic nights and organizer of musical fundraising events.

At 18 I founded One Day Waning. We starting out playing open mics in NJ and eventually began to play gigs on a weekly basis.  We released our debut EP, "Lost in A Dream." in 2015 which I helped produce along with the rest of the band.

I continued working as a session musician, mostly as a trumpet player and background vocalist.

In 2020 I went on tour with Jesse Malin.  It was an honor to play with his band and be inspired by his storytelling.  Jesse has since experienced some health challenges.  To support his recovery click here.

I wrote the lyrics to, sang, and released a single entitled, "Remember It" with a band called Sonic Compost in 2019.

I went on to release music under the name Of Love including an LP, Spalted Maple and two singles, "Life is Poetry" and "Groovin'" in 2022.  I co-produced Spalted Maple alongside James Stivaly and co-produced "Groovin'" and "All I'm Feeling" with exective producer, Mark Dollar.

Music is my heartbeat.

It is my window through which I experience life and gracefully communicate with my fellow humans.

Musical Mentoring

Teaching trumpet was one of my first jobs when I was a teenager.  I went on to become a vocal, piano and trumpet teacher at the School of Rock Montclair for many years.

I now teach singing, songwriting, piano and trumpet privately.  I share what I have learned from my yogic journey with students to help them connect with deeper levels of being, creativity, connectedness, embodiment, and bliss.

I feel yoga and music are so interconnected.  Vocalization is an important element in many yogic traditions.  Connecting to the pranic body through the breath is also a pillar of yogic practicing, but also splendid singing.

I love blending these teachings to support students in cultivating a deeply gratifying and meaningful musical and mindfulness practice.

Writing

Writing has always been a safe medium for me to explore my inner world and organize my ideas about our shared world.

As a child I was known for filling journals with my juiciest thoughts, questions, and inspirations.

After graduating from high school I founded the band, One Day Waning.  I had the pleasure of being our primary lyricist.

Following my time in One Day Waning, I created curriculums for people all all ages from pre-schoolers to adults blending yogic teachings with the elements of music.

I am currently finishing my Bachelors in Technical Communication at Arizona State University.

After graduation, I look forward to pursuing a career in Music Journalism.  I will blend my roots in many music communities with my love for offers new perspectives with my proverbial pen.
